Itʻs interesting when you look at a Pacific Ocean seafloor. The topography down deep may have contributed to breaking up the tsunami from the Kamchatka earthquake. Thereʻs a lot down there. We canʻt watch that in realtime.
2 strangest landings I ever had were both Hawaiian air. Dash 7 at Kapalua. Crosswinds down the mountain, came in sideways till the last minute. The other was a DC-10 on Lanai’s short runway. Hit the ground and slam the brakes. Brakes seized due to heat. Had to rock plane to break the brakes loose
Whenever we hear a helicopter we look to see if it’s fire rescue, what direction and how low it’s flying.
