@mitchw same here. My Dad built amps and receivers with tubes. Then morphed into building Heathkit CP/M computers. It’s was fun watching and sometimes getting to plug in a tube.

I put pretty much equal parts of the 3 peppers and 3 salts with much less habanero and put in a spice blender until I get the size I want. Whatever you can get would be good. There are some good Japanese peppers out there too

@dynamitemoth I was also more conservative than most people I grew up with here in Hawaii. Listened to conservative talk radio for a spell. Before the internet, Hawaii was more isolated. We didn't even have satellite news when I was growing up, never knew who Walter Cronkite was.

I got involved in politics because my Dad was a lobbyist representing small business in Hawaii (it didn't stick, I went into hospitality). Got to know a lot of elected officials in the 70s and 80s. most of them were good people. I have also got involved in local issues through the years. TBH Local politics haven't really changed much. The far left and right are overwhelmed by the left and middle here in Hawaii.
