@Ronnie our last movie theaters in Kona will be closing for good in a few weeks. Going to see Dune II at the theater as a good bye. Honolulu still has nice theaters, but that’s a couple of islands away.

@velocykel I have spondylolisthesis L5 from an injury 25 years ago. It didn’t bother me till a couple of weeks ago. It it’s now Grade 2 and I’m getting numbness and lots of pain in my right leg. I’m waiting to get a shot, 5 weeks from now right now.

@ddanielson I managed in the same union at another resort, so I know the contract well. The staffing issues coming out of COVID left the hotel very tightly staffed, so I’m number 2 in seniority for dinner cook 1. If the other guy moves to lunch (which he may) I’m #1

@xxxx Lots of visible history in N Kohala. We used to go up there a lot when we lived in Waimea. We’re in Kona now and don’t make it up as much. Sadly our favorite fudge shop closed. We had lunch at new place “Kohala Grown”
@jgordon definitely plausible. My Dad had Lewy Body dementia. I spent a lot of time looking for genetic links. A likely cause is repeated periods of high stress and bouts of depression, which he had experienced. Science is still cloudy
