@brianvastag We had a governor in Hawaii many years ago, George Ariyoshi. He was part of the Hawaii Democratic party machine back in the day. One of his campaign slogans was "Quiet and Effective", that slogan kind of sounds like Biden

@crossingthethreshold it was 4 marlins that won us the catch at release trophy. We also caught 3 Ahi and an Ono that we kept. We were 3rd in overall point again professional fishermen. I was top anger too. That trophy is in a cabinet

@crossingthethreshold It rained all night, very hard at times and fresh winds from the south. 80% humidity at 7:30am. Sounds like the usual roads are flooding.
Funny thing, the county looks at the those flooded areas after every storm and even spray paints some lines , but hasn't done anything.

My wife and her ex bought the condo we’re in straight off moving here from Minn. in 2020. They didn’t know better. We bought him out and paid off mortgage in 2019 for a too good pass $$. With current market are kind of stuck and making the best of what we can.

@crossingthethreshold Hilo has been very wet for 2 days. It ramping up more with wind over there. I lived in Hilo for 15 years through 2 hurricane close calls. That town can handle a lot of rain before issues start to arise. The land is Hilo is very porous due to the type of lava rock
@manton @pratik we got back into a condo 5 years ago. It’s nice being small, though where we are is hot. We’re not in an area they will flood from the ocean or otherwise. The market is making it look like we’re staying. Likely going to invest in central air.
