Taking with a guest today we were reminiscing about long summer breaks when we were kids. Those summers were so memorable. Schools shortened the break because they said kids fall back after suck a long break. They missed the fact that we were allowed to be kids all summer.

Was recalling when I managed an Apple reseller, every now and then someone would come in and change the language on one of our demo iMacs to Chinese. The first time was tough, then we put language in the menu bar.

I have 5,921 Hawaiian songs in my digital collection. 15.3 days of listeningt time if I was so inclined

When I had my cafe in Hilo I had a rotary 50 CD changer. Played all island music. I had many more than 50 CDs. When I got my first digital music played (a Dell) I ripped them all and donated the CDs to Waimea middle school. I still have that music in my Apple Music collection.

This will be my sign for June 14 protest.

Made a poblano style mole sauce. Cheated and used a concentrate from Oaxaca. Came out so good. Been a while

Te one thing I will hate about moving away from here is I have my healthcare pretty dialed in and would have to start over. I’ve had the same MD for 10 years. I had the one before that was for 20 years. I really like the Queen’s Healthcare system for big things.

Seem to recall that anytime our technology acted up, we assume the cause was solar flares.

I grew up on O`ahu, though it’s been 35 years. When I see sections of freeway in Honolulu on the morning news, I still know exactly where it is.

I’ve had this ruled since about 1976. Still work, no batteries or parts to change.

Just finished rewatching Andor season 1. Hadn’t watched since it wad first released. So good

It’s funny reading an article about a long time restaurant in Honolulu that I never heard of is closing after 30 years. I moved to Hawaii island in 1991

This is interesing. Hawaii was trading with ports on the West-Coast when it was still Mexico

Just read an article about the early 20th centyry, an era before music had ever begun to be captured and recorded, a time when if you were not playing music yourself or listening to someone else play, you simply were not hearing music at all.

With Hokule’a starting a new voyage it brings this book to mind (rereading it now) that tells story of the canoe capsizing in 1977 and the loss of Eddie Aikau. the weather and channels around the Hawaiian islands are some of the roughest they will encounter in the entire voyage.

i had a chance to talk to a Canadian guest at the resort today. She said they don’t hold anything against the people of Hawaii for what Trump is doing.

The Dodger Karma tour continues.

The one thing that we definetly can’t undo from Trump and his minions is people dying.
