The old record label Hawaiian 49th State records collection was awesome. They restored and re-mastered many of the LPs released between 1948 and 1958. The label was purchased by Cord International in the early 1990s who has made many of those album available.


Julia Nui was prominent Hawaiian musical artist in first haf of the 20th centuty. Her group Julia Nui’s Kamaainas featured prominently on 49th state records. They comonly backed up Johhny Almeida


I worked this morning, my wife spent the morning with our grandsons, for all practical purposes, she’s their Mom. Their Mom hasn’t been in the picture for al least a decade. We pretty much raised them.
