After I processed all of my Great Auntieʻs photos and other items, I now have a workable system. Now Iʻm processing the things Iʻve carried for years, much of it given to me by may parents. Handling my Dadʻs estate convinced me that I want to leave as small a footprint as possible when I go.

Received this letter with 1984 Olympic tickets. It’s on parchment. Tickets were mail order. You weren’t sure what you were going to get until the envelope showed up.

I bought this map in 2006 when I went fishing in Prince of Whales island. We were in Craig Alaska. It’s was awesome week. This is also a real cool map


The entire bank scene in Heat is sick.


When I had Canoes Cafe in Hilo. I had a 100 disc CD player with all Hawaiian and Island music. It was amazing.


Was never an Ozzie Osborne fan. I was into Island music.


A lot of regrettable projects advanced on Hawaii Island during Mayor Yamashiro’s administration, mostly in response to high unemployment when the sugar mills closed.

What’s O’ahu’s excuse for all of those Kaka’ako and Ala Moana district luxury condos?

Found this town guide to Waimea from the early 90s. Waimea coffee Co, Parker Ranch Grill, Cook’s Discoveries, Aioli’s Restaurant, Bree Garden and Byrd’s Audio.


In 1993 I had the extreme pleasure of having dinner with Jess Jackson and Jeb Steele (winemaker) of Kendall-Jackson and Stonestreet wines after the lunch. Jess drew out his vision for the California wine industry filled in all of their vineyards in an outline of California on the program for me.
