This morning when we went for coffee, we saw a lot of people heading for Waikīkī beach with canoe paddles. Stumbled on a canoe regatta

In the late ‘80s as a sales rep for Island Beverage Company (Miller & Heineken beer), I drove from Kaneohe or Waipi’o every Wednesday. Stopped at every store and bar along the way. After driving it today, not much has changed, just way more cars and a big hotel in Lāi’e.

Great seeing the Puakea.org canoe halau at He’eia park. Bobby Puakea spent a lot of time with us in Hilo teaching us the mana’o of Wa’a building and repair. A special time of my life.

Some stance looking bindings in Honolulu.

Haleiwa market place

Every parking lot from Kailua to Hale’iwa was overrun with chickens. This was from Whole Foods Kailua parking lot

Made it to Hale’iwa. Slow drive from He’eia. Rainy from La’ie and stop and go through the North Shore. No surf, but there are a ton of people blanketing the N Shore. Cars parked all over the place

Stopped at Valley of the Temples. Lots of advertisements for plots with a view. Not sure if care much about a view.

Noticed driving on O’ahu that the driving lanes are noticeably narrower than Hawaii island. Especially in town.

Spent a lot of time between Sandy’s and Makapu`u

The blow hole look out is busy at 8am

I’m slapping a 50% tariff on the taxes that I pay. There’s an trade imbalance

This coffee place in Int’l Marketplace opened at 7. Had a line at 6:30. Hint hint. We walked less than a block to one that was open at 6

They used to put those cranes in the middle in the elevator shaft. Just bolt them to the side now.

Full moon over Waikiki

The Giants showed up today

Salt at Kaka’ako was bust tonight. Gray dinner at Moku Kitchen.

The state bird is back

The last time we stayed here, King’s Alley had just been demolished. Now there’s this. The jungle still grows
