I’m 66. I should theoretically live till my mid 80s. 2 of my grandparents lived well into their 90s. The other 2 had specific health issues. One ignored an illness the other had a bad work injury. First step is to get to retirement hopefully in July.

This Covid was persistent. I’ve never been sick or out of work for 8 days that didn’t involve a major limb replacement.


When I owned Canoes Cafe, I used to a statewide cable show from UH Hilo called “Focus on Agriculture” with Jack Fujii. I did it 7 times. It was live, one hour cooking demo and 30 min call-in. I had so much fun doing those and helped build business. I have the VHS tapes of the shows that I did.


One week post diagnosis, went for a walk at the Old Airporf park. Still a bit labored.
