Have always wondered why information on portions of my family wasnʻt that hard to find in genealogy and ancesrty. Turns out my ancestors were shop and land owners. Served in local government., were military officers and owned shares in merchant ships among other enterprises.

Hawaii island should have a progressive property tax. The higher value the higher %. If you can afford a $3mil home(or a $10mil home), you can afford a higher contribution to the county. That would help affordabile housing
