This old Tahitian long boat (OC-1) hanging in my cafe (Canoes Cafe) was one of the early solo canoes in Hawaii

Kristy Noem has had so much Botox and fillers she looks like an AI character. Can’t even move her lips.
I had one of the first OC-1 canoes in Hilo in the early 90s. It was a converted surfski, added iako and ama. It worked. Shortly after I got one of John Puakea’s first demo OC-1s. Finally stepped up to one of Tiger’s early models. His shop was in back of Auto Body Hawaii.

Gotta love old Hui O`hana music.apple.com/us/album/…

Parked by this restaurant on Walua St. since the 80s it’s been Tom Bombadils, Tres Hombres (very good), empty for a while, Habanero (Big renovation), Kona Pasta Company, Now Walua Social Club. It’s Italian food. I can cook Italian better than most restaurants

Had a great time at the Kona King Kamehameha Day Ho`olaulea. Great food. Good music. Sat behind Kona Inn and watched the surf roll in.
I guess they didn’t have any pooper scoopers following the pa`u riders in the parade. Alii Drive smells like a stable
After starting out as a bootstrap mail order razor company, Harry’s has gone all corporate. Bigger shelf presence. Made it look bigger. Skinnier and same 30oz.
My cafe was just around the corner before they built the roof. Used go there daily. The ladies all knew me “Mr Randy, I get good kind for you”
They always say retirees are in a fixed income. We’re all on a fixed income. A Paycheck is a paycheck.
An interesting find. We always thought our Italian side was only from Parma and Piacenza in N. Italy. I was resaerching my Great Granmotherʻs side, prior to her, there are a least 7 generations, many on maternal sides going back to a small town in S. Italy Teora, Avellino, Campania You never know.
