Great way to end a busy O’ahu weekend. I knew almost immediately that I could never live here again. Too many people, buildings and cars for me
Chilling at Kaka’ako waterfront watching tug boats do their thing. I came here a lot when it was first built before I moved to Hawaii island. This was an old landfill

Yesterday driving around the east and north side of O’ahu, there were family gatherings and lots of tents at everything state and county park. A large wedding at Ha’aula state park and lots families. Also with traffic, it took longer to drive around O’ahu than it takes to drive around Hawaii isle
Driving around Honolulu and seeing all of these high rise condos. With all of the property taxes and resort and developer fees, kind of wonder why the roads and sidewalks in town are so bad. Don’t the developers had fees to offset the problems they cause?
Packing it up till next trip. One change. Most new cars have USB C with no USB A. Need a couple of more USB C to ? (Our phones are still lightening)

HPD lined up in front of the Hyatt. Assuming they’re all in the substation across the street having coffee. Shift started at 7.

If you haven’t seen Cirque du Soleil ‘Auana, go when you can. It was amazing. Fast moving and entertaining. It beat both of our expectations by a long shot.
My wife officially has no more fucks to give. Last night at dinner the restaurant across the way was playing loud music outside. She went over and told them to turn it down after fbs security guard refused. Today she told off a worker at Costco for not managing a long line.
This morning when we went for coffee, we saw a lot of people heading for Waikīkī beach with canoe paddles. Stumbled on a canoe regatta

In the late ‘80s as a sales rep for Island Beverage Company (Miller & Heineken beer), I drove from Kaneohe or Waipi’o every Wednesday. Stopped at every store and bar along the way. After driving it today, not much has changed, just way more cars and a big hotel in Lāi’e.

Great seeing the Puakea.org canoe halau at He’eia park. Bobby Puakea spent a lot of time with us in Hilo teaching us the mana’o of Wa’a building and repair. A special time of my life.
