Had a blast at Lyman museum and Mission house (the oldest wooden structure on Hawaii Island). Even though the Mission was built by missionaries there is very little in the museum or the mission house about religion. It’s about history.

The country won’t recover in my lifetime. Could be our grandparents thought that in WWII or during the 60s and Viet Nam, but this attacks the core of our society.
I love the story of Ka makani Ka’ili Aloha. Lizzy Alohikea wrote the words in the early 1900s and needed help with music. She enlisted the help of friend Mathew Kane who was at a local bar, he wrote the music on the spot.
