Productive and fun 2 days off, we went to Hilo (the other side of the island - 2 hours drive) to take in the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival festivities and see my daughter. Yesterday we finally chose flooring and new toilets for our condo and had a date night. Good stuff.
We had a great time taking in the Merrie a monarch festivities in Hilo yesterday. My daughter’s halau is participating. This is a portion of a rehearsal of their kahiko performance.

I don’t directly have a dog (so to speak) in the abortion fight, but I do believe in a wahine’s (woman) right to control their own health decisions. I also believe this will be a defining issue in the next election or two, so I’m paying attention.

In 2019-2020 I lost 80#. Mostly by eliminating most sugar and simple carbs and retraining my brain to only eat when I’m hungry and stop eating when I’m no longer hungry. In 2021 I gained back 10 of those pounds and have stayed at the new weight for 18 mos. Guess this is where my body wants to be.
