The last time I was this mad at Baseball (specifically the Dodgers this time) was the strike season 94-95. I didnʻt watch Major league baseball for quite a while. At that time, I went to a lot a UH Hilo college games. Even did color on the radio broadcasts for a couple of seasons.
In Hawaiian music you can find a song first recorded in 1914 and the same song as been re-recorded for over 100 years and other than the recording quality, itʻs the same song and sounds pretty much the same. Poli Pumehana (Press Me To Thy Bosom) 1914 Sunday Manoa 2003
When we do eventually move to Sonoma, I will enjoy going to Giants games, just to enjoy a day at the ballpark
The thing that bothers me about this is that I look at baseball as my apolitical escape. It’s not about going to the White House, it’s about going to THIS White House. Trump’s White House. The Dodgers have put themselves in the middle of this mess.
Ohtani, Betts, Dodgers visit Trump at White House
Had a great call with our investment advisor today. Because we have a lot of our retirement in Real Estate we’re in better shape than many. He was also firm about sitting tight for at least a couple of weeks and letting the short term play out.
Lyman’s beach. Same place I was as sunset last night with my wife. Out for a morning walk. Damn it’s hot this morning.

My Dodgers had an affair with a pedophile. It’s s broken relationship. I need space. I’ll watch any other team.

Got lost on a tanget today consolidating the John K Almeida music in my collection. Interesting tidbit. He was born in 1897. He became blind young when he was exposed to Maile bush sap. He composed over 300 songs. Played at Queen Lili`uoklani’s funeral. His story is chronicled in this new article.
After catching glimpses of the Sunday news shows, it just pissed me off. Back to the music.
This rendition of Hula Lolo by John K. Almeida with Julia Nui’s Kamaainas. Johhny became blind at a young age & is credited with composing over 300 songs
With estimates close to 3000 Hands-Off protesters island-wide on Hawaii Island. Having lived in Hilo, Waimea and Kona, that makes me so proud of everyone. The further support from people driving by extended our reach exponentially.

Just got home. 2 amazing hours. So many like minded people. It’s an amazing start. Last Hands Off protest in the US today. A few middle fingers and F@ck Us just make the crowd louder. I can believe it stretched from Henry St to Nani Kailua on the highway. Just wow
The organizers said it’s over 1000. Goes from the street below to the street above and wraps around. Haven’t seen a crowd like this in Kona since UB40 at Swing Zone

I think African Americans are sitting at home thinking white people finally know how they’ve felt for the last 200+ years.
This Dodgers going to bow to Trump thing has me annoyed. I can’t undo being a lifelong fan, but I won’t pay for a single broadcast or buy any merchandise this season.

I have so much amazing Hawaiian music in my collection. I can just put on an album and add a few more to queue and just let them play with no need to advance to the next song or album. Every song is good
