Siri on my watch stopped working. Wondering if the Siri team in San Diego broke something out of protest for having to move to Austin. Two places diametrically opposite politically.
This is the year I finally close my Evernote and Instapaper account. These app are a shadow of what they were. Moving everything the Apple Notes. Created a read later folder and my EN export folder.
I work in a kitchen and use a pen to write food labels (when item was made and shelf life, etc), check lists, temperature logs, requisitions, etc. I use Fisher space pen cartridges. They write in any orientation and on damp surfaces, which we have a lot of.
The COVID Pandemic was a societal demarcation line. Businesses operate differently, “short staffed” is a normalized excuse. Service quality is down and it’s accepted. Prices are all over the place and not good. People are fine just staying home and getting everything delivered.
Made a new batch of my spice mix. I use it for fish and vegetables at the hotel. It has pink, white and black pepper. Kosher and Hawaiian Alae salt, black salt and a little habanero. Then I lightly smoke the entire batch.
Back in 2010 I have small media company. Built websites set up social media for small local businesses. I made a living for a few years. Built over 50 sites, and built in social media hooks. Set everyone us with a blog in some way shape or form as home base.
It’s the hotel Holiday party. Theme was throwback. We went a ways back. We are among the few here who remember that era.
radioparadise.com/listen/ch… Thoughtful, gentle songs, perfect as background music at home or work.
Inherited this box of 100s of B/W photos taken all around Hawaii Island in the early 1940s. They were taken by my great aunt who had a boyfriend stationed here during the war. I want to go to all of these places and take “now” photos 80 years later and share side-by-side online. Retirement project.
Day off chef’s cuisine. Roast chicken with garlic, basil and butter penne pasta. Simple, fast and delish.
I’ve become my Grampa. I fell asleep at 1PM in my reclining chair. But rather than the TV watching me, I had Radio Paradise on.
Looked at my SS statement income for the past 40 odd years. Seems as though the years I had peaks income were the worst years. Life out of balance, health issues or just unhappypy. I now make about 75% of my career max from about 10 years ago. It’s rather nice these days.
