Random. Rooster patrolling the Target parking lot in Kona.

It’s been almost 20 years, but this was the Kona Starbucks

I still call KTA stores Taniguchi’s.

It seems the Sunday talk shows spend most of there time trying to catch officials in a lie. No new information

There were some pretty amazing Hawaiian Music singers in 1920-50. Alfred Alohikea, Alfred Apaka, Andy Iona, Bill Lincoln, Ray Kinney, Andy Cummings, Sol Ho’opi`i, George Paoa (the Maui Boy), Mahi Beamer, Bill Kaiwa (the Boy from Laupahoehoe), Lena Machado , Irene West, Toots Paka and many more

Watching the move The Killer for the 4th or 5th time. I like the concept of it and the soundtrack

It may change at some point, but I’m am no longer a proud American. I just want to hide

This 1920s version of the Kamehameha waltz is also a good one. My first wife was a 13 year grad of Kamehameha (K-12). Some of my best friends through the years were also grads.

We have a rare rainy afternoon in Kona. Kind of nice

I guess the GOP wants us to go back to family farms. I don’t want to work on an industrial farm, but I’ll do my own. Give me the land Trump.

My first career was farming, but it’s difficult in Hawaii if you don’t own you land. We were leasing from the state. Lost it to H3 freeway.

The West Hawaii branch of Indivisible is having a social gathering in Kona tomorrow afternoon at an undiclosed park. You only get the location if you RSVP. It will be nice to just chill with like-minded people.

Iʻve been going through a number of archives of 78 rpm records, looking primarily for old and original Hawaiian music. The quality recording of the these old records can be sketchy, the by far the best is the 78rpm project by Archive.org. Also more detailed metadata.

The surf shop owner wouldn’t tell me how much the order was, but that it was his big pre summer order.

I talked to a small business owner (surf shop) today who won’t be able to accept a pre-paid order next week because of the additional tariff fees required upon delivery. He said I can’t afford to pay twice. All clothing is made in China or Vietnam. Said he can’t get his money back either.

Still mad at the Dodgers. They’ve shown no contrition. I’m going to remain unattached for the foreseeable future. I’ll just watch whatever game shows up on TV.

Always loved this album by Hawaiian Unlimited. I had the cassette and play it lot. I got to know Roger Naipo, the lead Singer, in later years. Lots of aloha. Canʻt find the album amymore, a little pricey on ebay
