I remember buying this CD at Borders Books and records at Ward Center when it first came out in about 1988

Lots of big issues in the world today, my concern are more closer to home.
- Hope my wife starts to feel better after her double Vac yesterday - a bit of fog.
- Hope to get a short nap before work.
- have my dinner special and soup of the day on my mind.
- Lots of prep after a very busy night last night.
Today for special I made Monchong fish poached in white wine with quinoa and broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce. Asian mushroom soup

Used to see the John Wooden quote “Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do” all over UCLA when I was there. I’ve kept that with me through the years. Focus on what you CAN do. I’ve said this before, but many businesses need to heed that advice and stop blaming externals
We typically sign up for a month or two of Ancestry.com every few years to do an update with new info we’ve come across, but more often new info on the site as people add their trees. It’s exploded since the pandemic. I’ve filled in a lot of gaps, especially on spouses. I’ve now traced ancestors all over the Ireland/UK (was already back to 1500s, but now wider) and in parts of Italy that my DNA showed but I hadn’t connected in my family tree (Abruzzo). Think I’m going to add all of these places to a google map to get a visual of the places we’ve been (at least my ancestors).
The last time we had a lava flow, we had reservations at Volcano house hotel in the volcano park, The flow stopped 2 days before we came. So this time we made the 2 hour drive to see the flow. Worth it

For years I was interested in Cosmology and science of the big picture. After recently reading “In to the Cool” about thermodynamics and life, I’ve become deeply facinated in Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Gravity and the science of the very small. I’m not good enough at math to fully understand all of it, but I love the mystery and the search for the theory of everything. I’m not a physicist, but thinking gravity and gravitons are the right path.
Finished watching Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland on PBS. Heartbreaking. I’m half Irish, from Kilbride Co Antrim, 10 miles outside Belfast, though our direct bloodline left long before the troubles.
Still hope for a unified Ireland.
Watched Steely Dan: Aja (Classic Albums) on Prime Video! https://watch.amazon.com/detail?gti=amzn1.dv.gti.ecb35aee-20fe-a481-4d0b-02cb3b083fd4&territory=US&ref_=share_ios_movie&r=web Amazing how 2 minds are so tightly entwined.
Trivia: When I was young, I used to listen to Al Michaels call the play by play for the Hawaii Islanders on my transistor radio at night. He was on Hawaii TV sports and radio from 1968-71. He was also on an episode of Hawaii Five-0
My office view in 2016 while maanging at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. Note: the amazing view and beautiful resort was not worth the long hours and stress.

GOP is only playing to their base. Thats all. They hope there’s an enough votes there to stay in power. My wife’s 3 brothers in N Dakota eat it all up. They believe it all. They hate everyone from the middle to the left.
