I’ve been going back to watch the Star Wars movies. A lot of people have qualms with the story lines and characters. I’m always in awe of the attention to detail, especially in the final three.

I think the MAGA people are playing a variation of the heads up game, but are putting the note on their ears.

Love a doctor with a sense of humor. Told me I could take off the shoulder sling around the house, but wear it when I go out, when sleeping at night and be sure and put it on if I plan on falling. Noted.

My sleep pre surgery and post. The gap is the day after the procedure, ddnt have my watch on that night. Difficulty sleeping with a sling. Lots of gaps. Also have moved to the chair in the living room a few times.

I didn’t fully understand this about shoulder replacement recovery. There are 2 markers that I need to meet during the process; range of motion and time. So there’s no rushing it. I’m ahead on ROM, but need to wait for time points in my recovery protocol so soft tissue can heal and bone can regrow

I’m ready to switch to that fabled alternate universe.

Lightning in a bottle

Last night we caught lightning in a bottle. We went to Umeke’s Restaurant for my birthday. Post COVID, consumer expectations have bottomed out. Every business seems to have a litany of excuses for a bad experience. Every aspect of our meal was impecable. The food was creative and tasty. The service was attentive and responsove. The atmosphere was confortable and relaxing. There were no excuses, only results. Glad to give them my money.

After an initial walk at our regular Hualalai Resort trailer went over to check out the beach access the recently reopened Kona village resort managed by Rosewood resorts. They have lots of solar. Nice view of Maui across the channel. We’ll be back, easy access to the beach between the 4 Seasons @ KV
