The biggest mistake that I see with home cooks is over cooking food. Get a good food thermometer for proteins. Cook until “just cooked” and safe. Chicken 165° Ground beef 160°, Beef and pork Well done 155° - med 145° - rare 135°. Veggies blanched or seared.

It’s fun to imagine what life was like in Hawaii in the late 1800s. Musicians and composers frequently mingled with Hawaii’s Royally and collaborated on songs. With no recording yet, you had to hear the music live. We’ll never know the true sound of the musicians of that era.
A couple of years ago I downloaded the original unedited original Star Wars movies. Nice to go back and watch them now and then. I lost the original DVDs in my divorce.
