After our walk we tried a new coffee and boba place near Safeway Kona. The coffee was delicious. My wife had a Boba latte. The fresh made cinnamon roll was wicked good. Since they are near the Starbucks inside Safeway they can only sell 20oz.

We went on a walk on the old Walua trail mauka of Kona. I’ve never been on this trail, my wife has been a couple of times. Need to do it early, it gets hot (and humid) up here. Not high enough to be cool. I’ll be up here again. It’s convenient. Can see where we live from the trail.
At the peak of my career I was hired as GM of 3 different restaurants to fix and increase the value of the restaurant so it could be sold. It was good money and a fun challenge, but I was actually working myself out of a job.
I did 3 protests in Kona. It’s good being alongside like minded folks. We’re on a strip of road outside of town. 80% of the cars honk on encouragement. A few stick finger and even less yell obscenities. Kind of yelling into the air. You may fell better, but accomplish nothing
Interning information. Louise and Ferera’s “Drowsy Waters”, released in 1916, shipped 25,000 copies initially but by the early 1920s had reached 322,000 copies in print. Similarly “Aloha Oe” by the Toots Paka Hawaiian Company sold 306,000 copies.
Just rewatched the last 2 episodes of Night Manager. Really do like that series. Hope season 2 hits soon
This panorama of Kaimu - Kalanana was taken on the mid 80’s. It was given to me for Canoes Cafe. I took photos of the pano before I passed the original on to Lyman Museum. Puna Canoe Club canoe on the left.

I’m not seeing as many Elon Trucks around Kona these days. Don’t know if it’s shame or just because they are crappy trucks.
