With all of the doom and gloom in the world, work is my happy place. We put on good music and make people happy through food and beverage. Don’t even look at my phone other than looking up a recipe or changing the playlist for 7 or 8 hours.

We had a rare discussion on politics at work tonight. Most of the others are younger than 30. I’m 65. We all dread the thought of Trump getting elected, but feel pretty hopeless. Hawaii is a small heavily democratic state. It’s all of those MAGA states and a possible stolen election that worry us. Who’s to stop these states from ignoring their electorate and choosing Trump. Not SCOTUS.

If you spend enough time at a beach like Hapuna , with surf & tide & lots of people from places not remotely close to ocean, you will eventually see a guy lose his shorts or a women her top. This is followed by someone running into the ocean with a towel to safely cover & retrieve them.

We’ve been waiting for Hyundai to drop a 0% APR financing special. We’re going to look at an Elantra or Kona today. We bought my wife’s Elantra on 0% in 2016. Makes it an easier pill to swallow. We’re replacing my 2013 Accent with 115k miles.
Starting to feel like the constant MAGA attacks on personal (women’s) rights, law and order and civil society is like the zombie apocalypse. Don’t know where they will strike next, but it won’t be good.
