I was a PolySci minor in Uni. For most of the last 70 yrs was a a clearly defined Dem and GOP. They mostly stayed in their lane with centrists in the middle. Everything went awry since the Christian right and the Progressive left muddied the waters. Now we have MAGA and a paralized congress
