I said it a few months ago, if the worker situation doesn’t loosen up by the 1st Q of 2022 (we’re there) many businesses will just retool, do with less and eliminate jobs. It’s happening. A local grocery chain has merged and eliminated departments and shortened their hours. Starbucks is shortening hours. Ace hardware has eliminated services and shortened hours. This doesn’t even include restaurants which are shrinking menus buying more ready to cook food (heard this from a vendor) to make due with less people. Once they all figure out the economic model, those jobs won’t go back. This happened in the early 80s partially due to food production technology
